Privacy and cookies
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Sandra Cross, trading as Sandra Cross Choir (SCC), is the data controller for personal information sent directly to the choir. For privacy questions or requests, email office@sandracrosschoir.co.uk.
What we receive and why
When you email about a taster, membership or another matter, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number and the contents of your message. We use it to reply and arrange your participation. Our lawful basis for an initial enquiry is our legitimate interest in responding. If you join, we use the information necessary to provide the choir service under our agreement with you.
If you apply for a concession, send only the evidence needed to assess eligibility and cover unrelated account numbers or financial details. We use it to assess your request. Evidence is deleted once the assessment and any immediate query are complete; we may retain a record of the decision.
If you voluntarily share health or accessibility information so that we can support you safely, we will use it only for that purpose and restrict access to those who need to know. We will ask for your explicit consent where required, unless another legal condition applies in an emergency.
Members’ Community and video
The Members’ Community link opens a separate service at members.centreformusicandmind.com. Review the privacy information shown there before entering details.
Choir performances and rehearsals may be photographed or filmed. Before using identifiable member images for publicity, we will explain the intended use and how to raise a concern. This page is not, by itself, permission to use your image.
Keeping and sharing information
We normally keep unanswered or completed enquiry correspondence for no longer than 12 months after the last contact. Membership, payment and contractual records may be kept for up to six years after membership ends where needed for tax, accounting or legal claims. Information may be deleted sooner when it is no longer required.
Access is limited to people helping administer the choir who need it for that purpose. We may use service providers for email, website hosting and the member service. Those providers process information under their own security and privacy arrangements. We may also share information where the law requires it or where necessary to address a serious safety concern. Some technology providers may process information outside the UK using recognised legal safeguards.
Cookies and similar storage
Our website does not currently use advertising or audience-measurement cookies. It uses a small item in your browser’s local storage to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional content. This is necessary to remember your choice and expires after six months.
The opening film is supplied by YouTube. We do not load the YouTube player until you accept optional cookies. If you accept, YouTube may receive information such as your IP address, browser details and activity and may place or read cookies or similar storage. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain, but Google’s privacy terms still apply. If you reject, the film remains blocked on this website; you can still choose to open YouTube directly.
You can change your decision at any time by selecting Cookie settings in the website footer. Rejecting optional cookies will not stop you from reading the rest of the website.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or erase it, restrict its use, object to some uses or request portability where the relevant right applies. You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis we rely on. Contact office@sandracrosschoir.co.uk. We normally respond within one calendar month.
If you remain concerned, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
This notice covers this public website and direct choir enquiries. The separate Members’ Community and any payment provider should display their own relevant privacy information.
