Safeguarding
Sandra Cross Choir is an adults-only choir. We want members, visitors and the people working with us to be treated with respect and to feel able to speak up about bullying, harassment, abuse, neglect or other safety concerns. Adults who have care and support needs may need particular protection from abuse or neglect.
How to raise a concern
Email office@sandracrosschoir.co.uk with “Safeguarding concern” in the subject line. There is no named public addressee. Please share what happened, when and where, who may be affected and how we can contact you safely. You do not need to investigate or prove a concern before reporting it.
What happens next
We will take concerns seriously, listen without judgement, consider immediate safety and keep a record of what is reported. We will share information only with people or agencies who need it to respond, including the police or local authority where appropriate. We will take the adult’s wishes into account wherever possible. We cannot promise absolute confidentiality if someone may be at risk.
If a concern involves someone connected with the choir, you may contact the police or the relevant local authority directly rather than using the choir email.
Our commitment
We expect everyone involved in SCC to respect personal boundaries, avoid discriminatory or intimidating conduct, and report concerns promptly. This public information explains how to get help; it does not replace the choir’s practical safeguarding procedures and training.
