Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 24 September 2026

These terms apply when you book a taster session, become a member or take part in an activity organised by Sandra Cross, trading as Sandra Cross Choir (SCC). SCC is an adults-only choir. Please read these terms before joining.

Joining and taster sessions

You must be aged 18 or over to join SCC. Free taster sessions are subject to availability and must be arranged with the choir in advance. There is no audition and you do not need to read music.

Membership begins when your place and payment arrangement have been confirmed. Please provide accurate contact information and tell us about any accessibility needs that you would like us to consider.

Membership fees and payments

Current membership options and their benefits are shown on the Membership section of this website. Fees are payable using the agreed payment method and at the agreed frequency. Concession places are subject to eligibility and may require suitable evidence.

If a payment is missed or cannot be collected, please contact us promptly. Access to rehearsals, resources or the Members’ Community may be paused while a payment remains overdue, but we will try to resolve the matter with you first.

We will give reasonable notice of any change to membership fees or the main benefits included. A change will not be applied retrospectively to a payment you have already made.

Ending your membership and refunds

You may ask to end your membership by emailing office@sandracrosschoir.co.uk. Please contact us before your next payment is due so that we can confirm the effective date and any final payment.

If you purchase membership online or by email, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask us to begin providing membership services during that period, we may charge a fair amount for the service supplied before you cancel. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Payments are not normally refunded for sessions that you choose not to attend. If SCC cancels a paid session and cannot offer a reasonable replacement, we will arrange an appropriate credit or refund for the affected session.

Rehearsals, activities and changes

Dates, times, venues, choir leaders, repertoire and performance opportunities may occasionally change. We will give members as much notice as reasonably possible. Performances and special events may have separate arrangements, costs or participation requirements, which will be explained in advance.

Please behave respectfully towards members, visitors and the people working with SCC. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour or serious disruption is not acceptable. We may ask someone to leave an activity or end their membership where this is reasonably necessary to protect the group or its work.

Health, safety and personal belongings

You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for you and for following reasonable safety instructions. Tell the choir leader if you feel unwell or need an adjustment. In an emergency we may contact the emergency services. Personal belongings remain your responsibility.

Music, resources, photography and recordings

Lyrics, arrangements, recordings and other learning materials supplied by SCC are for members’ personal choir use unless we give written permission for another use. Please do not copy, publish, sell or share restricted member resources.

Rehearsals and performances may sometimes be photographed or filmed. Where identifiable images are intended for publicity, SCC will explain the intended use and how to raise a concern. These terms do not, by themselves, give permission to use your image.

Members’ Community and other services

The Members’ Community and any payment service may be operated on separate platforms with their own terms and privacy information. Please review the information displayed by those services when you use them.

Responsibility

SCC will provide its services with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. We do not exclude or limit responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

Privacy and safeguarding

Our Privacy and cookies notice explains how we use personal information. Our Safeguarding information explains how to raise a welfare or safety concern.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the choir’s services or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published here with its updated date. If a change materially affects current members, we will take reasonable steps to let them know.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection available to you where you live.

Questions about these terms can be sent to office@sandracrosschoir.co.uk.

These terms are intended to make SCC’s everyday arrangements clear. If a separate written agreement applies to a particular event or service, that agreement will explain any additional terms.
